Our first Special Topic Community Conversation

Last Friday, we hosted the first Special Topic Community Conversation during the Coffee Chat. Anthony Sanchez and other members of the PFAnetwork joined us to share their experience navigating the health system as a person of Hispanic/Latino(a) heritage. Among the insights they shared included the expanding our understanding of access to care starting at the ability to enroll in health insurance. We also learned that there are many dialects, many unique cultures and languages represented in the term Hispanic. And importantly, Anthony shared his passion for empowering people from Hispanic communities to be active participants in their care. We are deeply appreciative of the time and energy Anthony, Sal, Maria and Doris gave us so that we can better understand the needs of this community within our PFAnetwork.

We will continue to host special topic community conversations in an effort to gain deeper insights into the needs of unique populations within the PFAnetwork. Do you represent a unique population? Are you interested in sharing more about your community so that we can be a more inclusive PFAnetwork? We would love the opportunity to learn from you! Please message lucero@pfccpartners.com to suggest a special focus.

Be well,
