Hello friends,

August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). This month highlights the importance of getting recommended vaccines throughout your life. During NIAM, we encourage you to talk to your doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional to ensure you and your family are protected against serious diseases by getting caught up on routine vaccinations.

It is more important than ever that we each do our part to stay healthy and out of the hospital. Many hospitals are experiencing record high surges of COVID-19 patients, and beds are in short supply. Every ICU bed occupied by a patient with an infectious disease is unavailable to those experiencing a heart attack, stroke, or trauma from an accident. Immunizations have kept all of us safer from tetanus, measles, polio, and now COVID-19. They are one of our greatest tools in the protection of public health.

Browse the tools and resources below to learn more.

Be well and stay safe,

Stephen
