Roger Lacoy is a Long term HIV/AIDS survivor and is the President of a small nonprofit organization called PITCH (Positive Iowans Taken Charge). A group that works to provide social support and education to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in Iowa.
Roger volunteers most of my time as a Patient advocate, advisor. He is past Chair of the Board of Directors for PHC (Primary Health Care inc.) A FQHC in Des Moines. He also serves on several advisory boards in and around the Des Moines area including Iowa Medical Society, Iowa Healthcare Collaborative and the Iowa Dept of Public Health Community Planning Group ( CPG). He recently joined PFCCpartners and the PFAnetwork as a Patient advisor and Telligen's Community Ambassador Program. Roger's goal is to share the importance of The Doctor/ Patient relationship and Patient/ Family advisory boards in the healthcare community today and use his lived experiences to help effect change.
