Moving Beyond the Story: Preparing for Impactful Partnerships in a Virtual World
The patient and family caregiver voice continue to be raised in healthcare improvement. The request for Patient Family Advisors to share their experiences in meetings, at conferences, and everywhere in between is growing, especially now with the opportunity to inform healthcare’s COVID-19 response.
This skill-building opportunity guides Patient Family Advisors through a three-step process of understanding the purpose, planning, and presenting their experiences in the context of a program, project, or meeting. Advisors will:
1. Learn how to present experiences in the context of a program, project, or meeting.
2. Understand the importance experiences bring to healthcare partners.
3. Plan to prepare for a variety of partnerships, including healthcare’s COVID response.
4. Gain the confidence to present experiences that invite collaboration.
