Jan Lambert

Utah

Jan Lambert has been on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) for Comagine Health (formerly HealthInsight) since its inception in 2014. Her interest in public policy and issues that directly affect “real people” was rooted in early experiences working for Senator Henry Jackson in his Washington, D.C. office and in completing a degree in Political Science. Interest in medical issues and policies has come as a result of years of caregiving and managing her own and her family’s healthcare issues.

As a member of the PFAC, Jan has worked with Comagine Health staff to provide the patient perspective on a variety of projects that directly affect Medicare recipients in Utah. She participated as a panelist in the 2018 Health Services Research Conference at the University of Utah, attended the Utah Summit on Healthcare Affordability, is a member of the Open Notes National Information Technology PFAC, and recently attended the Annual Meeting of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) in Washington, D.C.

“It is a monumental step forward that the patient’s voice has become a respected and sought-after part of healthcare systems. I believe working with Comagine Health puts that voice at the very beginning of the process for improving those systems.”
