Ultimately, society measures what matters most, and what is measured gets done or changed. It is time to measure community engagement and ensure that the results can be used to move towards health equity through transformed systems for health. This proposed workshop session aims to share resources developed by the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the California Health Care Foundation and guidance from a diverse Organizing Committee, and discuss considerations for using these resources to guide meaningful community engagement. During this workshop, presenters will feature the Assessing Community Engagement Conceptual Model, Impact Stories, and Assessment Instruments, which provide an avenue for those involved in partnerships with communities–community-based organizations, academics, researchers, hospitals, health system and health plan representatives, and policymakers at the local, state, or federal levels–to identify the most important areas of impact for measurement and assess them.
This virtual meeting will be held via Zoom meeting. You will be provided a link to the meeting after registration. All are welcome. For questions, please contact Laura Jackson at lindsey@pfccpartners.com
